A short overview of the module Traffic Engineering.

The first part of this course gives a detailed review about the capacity calculation of both unsignalized and signalized intersections following the procedures of the HBS (Handbook for the Dimensioning of Traffic Facilities, 2015, comparable to he Highway Capacity Manual in the USA).

The second part discusses traffic management systems in Private Transport (ramp metering, parking guidance systems, ...) as well as in Public Transport (Computer-based Vehicle Location and Operational Control Systems, E-Ticketing,...).
